FAQ

How can I keep drones from my home?

Drones are becoming increasingly popular for home surveillance, but they also threaten privacy and security. To avoid drone attacks, install motion sensors around the property. They will detect any unapproved flying objects.

Can I fly my drone indoors?

Yes, you can fly your drone indoors. Your home should be free from obstacles and hazards. Avoid flying near windows, doors and heating vents.

Which US states allow drones?

It is legal to operate a drone as a hobby. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), has established guidelines that allow the use of small unmanned aircraft systems (UASs). These UASs must be registered with the FAA before they can be flown. These UASs can also be flown by commercial operators if they are allowed to fly under certain conditions.

Can I fly my drone around my neighborhood?

Yes! These are called UAVs, or unmanned aerial vehicles. There are many kinds of drones today. They range from small quadcopters, to large fixed-wing planes. How To

How To Fly Drones For Beginners

A drone can be used to fly remotely controlled aircraft for photography, surveillance, scientific research, hobby and commercial purposes. Drone technology has existed since World War II. However, commercial use began in 2010 when DJI released their Phantom series of quadcopters. Many types of drones have been made available since then, from beginner-friendly models such as the Parrot AR Drone 2.0, to high-end multi-rotor craft such as the DJI Mavic Pro.

You can fly a drone in many different ways, including:

  1. Remote control – This is when you attach a device to your hand that allows you to control the drone's flight path. There are two main types, On/Off switches (like radios) and joysticks.
  2. Manual Control- This allows you to control your drone remotely via GPS coordinates. Follow the instructions of the app to track the exact location you want the drone go.
  3. Autonomous Flight – This is when the drone handles all the piloting tasks. It basically flies autonomously without any human intervention. To enable autonomous flight, the drone should have a built in camera and sensors capable recording images and data.
  4. Triggered Flight: This is similar in concept to manual control. The pilot manually creates a route and the drone then follows it until it reaches that endpoint. After the preprogrammed route is complete, the drone will automatically land and return to its base.
  5. Landing Gear: Some drones have landing gear that allows them safely to land in case they lose power or run low on battery.
  6. Goggles - Pilots may wear goggles to shield themselves from flying debris.
  7. Camera - Some drones are equipped with cameras allowing you to capture photos and videos from above.
  8. Obstacles. Some drones can have obstacle avoidance technology that stops them from hitting obstacles.
  9. Speed - Some drones can travel at speeds over 40 mph.
  10. Battery Life - Most drones are capable of lasting between 20 minutes and three hours, depending on the power that you use.
  11. Range - Some drones can travel upto 30 miles depending on their models.
  12. Power source - Not all drones can use an external power source. Others can run on internal batteries.
  13. Weight - Some drones can be as light as 1 pound while others can reach 4 pounds.
  14. Size - The size of drones varies from small, easily carried devices to more substantial crafts that weigh in excess of 50 pounds.
  15. Price - From high-end models that cost thousands of dollars to low-cost options that start at $100, all drones fall under a certain price category.
