Drones can be used to fight ISIS

droneseed

The United States, Russia and other countries all want more modern aircraft. However, Ukraine doesn't have the same resources as the United States to train its soldiers to fly these aircraft. The Ukrainians may have been trained in Western countries on vehicles and aircraft but they do not have the same training for drones. Because Ukrainians have grown up using older equipment, such as trucks, drones are easier for them. Drones are also easy to use for soldiers because they don't need "pilots". Drones also have an easy to use interface, much like those found in video games.

Aerorozvidka

To combat ISIS in Eastern Ukraine, the Ukrainian military has a unique strategy: octocopters with thermal cameras are used for nighttime missions. Some drones are fitted with anti-tank weapons and even have the capability to light up columns. These drones can transport up to 11 pounds of payload. They are maneuverable. They are small enough to fly low above targets and drop munitions.

Aerorozvidka started out as an IT enthusiast organization. Today, Aerorozvidka is a military-grade air reconnaissance unit. Aerorozvidka began as a civilian drone company. However, the organization grew to become a fully fledged unit with its own head. The Ukrainian government banned Russian military aircraft from entering the country because of export controls. Aerorozvidka depends on crowdfunding and donations to keep the company afloat, as many of the drone components are made in the USA.

Switchblade

The U.S. military has supplied Ukraine with armed "Switchblade," drones capable of striking Russian tanks from faraway. These unmanned aircraft vehicles were created by the US Air Force in response a Ukrainian request. John Kirby, a Pentagon spokesperson, stated that more than 120 of these machines are currently being sent to Ukraine. The Switchblades' use in the conflict in Ukraine is unknown.

The Switchblade, a small drone, can be easily launched from a tube. It also has a range up to 40 kilometers. The Switchblade is able to hit a Russian convoy 6 miles away, which is unlike Bayraktar drones. These small aircraft can be assembled in minutes during a conflict like that of Ukraine. The Switchblade has a much higher speed than the Bayraktar, the current U.S. allies.

Russian kamikaze drones

The US recently announced a military aid package worth $800 million to Ukraine. One of those packages includes the delivery of 121 unmanned planes, known as "Phoenix Ghosts," that are designed to terrorize Russian troops. These unmanned aircraft can fly for 30 to 40 minutes over large areas and are equipped with cameras and warheads. Switchblade is one such drone. It's a hovering munition measuring 5.5 pounds, and it can eliminate armored vehicles as well as tanks.

These small, light aircrafts come equipped with a powerful, low flight gimbal which allows them to operate from either air, ground, or water. Any advantage an opponent has over their counterpart in an aerial battle like this is vital. Russian kamikaze aircrafts pose a threat to that advantage. This capability is crucial for Ukraine's military because it can easily break Russian sieges, and attack command-and controller nodes. This capability would be a big liability for both parties, but Ukraine could emerge victorious if a small drone makes a difference on battlefield.

U.S. loitering Drones

Russia is integrating ZALA KYB loitering weapons into its military arsenal. These drones can be used in the same way as bazookas to carry out lethal loitering operations. The use of loitering drones may lead to the proliferation of these autonomous killing machines in black markets. But experts and observers are worried. So what can the U.S. do to stop this from happening?

Kirby says that more than 121 Switchblade drones have been sent by the U.S. to Ukraine to assist Kiev in fighting Russian forces. The Switchblade drone, which weighs in at 5.5 lbs, can hover over an area for 30 to 40 minutes. It includes a camera, a warhead and a microphone. Its mission is to eliminate the opposition forces within Ukraine.

How To

Repairing A Drone's Damaged Motor

You must first identify the damaged part of your motor before you can fix it. It is easy to do this by removing the propeller shaft from the motor shaft. Then, you need to remove any wires connected to the motor and inspect its inner workings. If you spot something wrong, you can identify which part of the motor needs to be fixed.

If there are no damages to the motor you don't have too much to worry about. However, if your motor looks anything like these images, then you will need some parts replaced before you can fly.

Imagine that the motor has become bent to the point it will not turn. The motor must be bent again. To hold the motor, use a vice grip or pair of pliers. After you've completed the above, ensure that you inspect the motor for signs and wear.

Once you're satisfied that everything's ok, put the propeller back onto the motor shaft and reattach the wires. Now your drone is ready to fly!
